Hakama
Hakama is a traditional formal outfit for Japanese men, often worn during weddings, coming-of-age ceremonies or important events. The outfit includes a kimono inside and Hakama – wide pleated pants outside, creating a majestic and sturdy look.
High-quality silk or synthetic material provides a soft drape but still maintains a standing shape, helping the wearer to be both comfortable and elegant. Popular colors such as blue, gray, black or brown, sometimes with delicate woven patterns showing class.
The outfit is often paired with a Haori jacket with a family crest (mon) embroidered on the shoulder and tied with a white strap with a solemn pom-pom tassel in the middle of the chest. Kimono Hakama symbolizes the calm demeanor, honor and dignity of Japanese men.
